As a kid there was always a camera around for birthdays, family vacations or even just the random occasion. My dad was always good about changing prints in the family picture collage, however, there were always constants for both my sister and I. My constant was an image of me, as a baby, sitting in the backyard, bawling my eyes out. Those images were a big part of my world and are the reason that I first picked up a camera.

Animals were another big part of my world growing up, and our family dogs were always my very best friends. So, naturally, starting with Louie, they also became my go to for photographic muses. In fact, through photographing pets, you could say that I’ve learned to speak fluent dog and I’ve even managed to pick up a little bit of cat along the way too. Trust me, it’s handier than you’d think.

Unfortunately, however, pets never live as long as we’d like and, like the picture collage, all of those prints have faded throughout the years, but they were the definition of love for me and what made me choose a boutique portrait model for my business. With my photography, I want to pass on the same experience of love that I felt from my family and for my pets to my client’s with amazing, custom works of art they can pass on for generations.
